Managing Companies
The Companies section is where you create and manage all of your client companies. Each company represents one of your clients and has its own workspace, users, and settings.
Creating a Client Company
Standard Method
To create a new client company manually:
- Go to Companies in the agency sidebar.
- Click Add Company.
- Fill in the required details:
- Company Name — The name of your client's business.
- Owner Email — The email address for the person who will own this company account. They will receive an invitation to set up their login.
- Package — Select one of the packages you have created, or choose a default plan.
- Click Create.
The company is created immediately, and the owner receives an email invitation to get started.
You can create the company first and have the client set up their own account later using the invitation email, or you can log in as the company owner yourself to configure everything before handing it off.
Creating via GoHighLevel
If you have connected your GHL agency account, you can create a company directly from a GHL sub-account:
- Go to Companies.
- Click Add from GHL.
- Select the GHL sub-account you want to connect.
- Assign a package and confirm the details.
- Click Create.
This pulls in the sub-account information automatically, saving you from entering details manually. See GHL Integration for more on this workflow.
Viewing Company Details
Click on any company in your list to see its details:
- Owner Information — The name and email of the company owner.
- Subscription — The current package, status, and billing cycle.
- Status — Whether the company is active, disabled, or archived.
- Created Date — When the company was added to your agency.
Editing Company Details
To update a company's information:
- Open the company from your list.
- Click Edit.
- Make your changes (company name, owner details, etc.).
- Save your updates.
Changing the owner email sends a new invitation to the updated address. The previous owner loses access unless they are also a team member.
Login as Company Owner
Sometimes you need to see things from your client's perspective or help them configure their workspace. The impersonation feature lets you log in as the company owner without needing their password.
- Open the company from your list.
- Click Login as Owner.
- You are taken to the company's dashboard as if you were the owner.
To return to the Agency Portal, click the Back to Agency button that appears at the top of the screen.
When you are logged in as a company owner, any changes you make are real. Be careful when editing settings, sending messages, or modifying configurations while impersonating a client.
Adding Add-Ons to Client Subscriptions
You can enhance a client's plan by adding add-ons to their subscription:
- Open the company from your list.
- Go to the Subscription tab.
- Click Add Add-On.
- Select the add-on you want to apply.
- Confirm the addition.
The add-on takes effect immediately and appears on the company's subscription details.
Cancel or Reactivate Client Subscriptions
Cancelling a Subscription
If a client no longer needs the service:
- Open the company.
- Go to the Subscription tab.
- Click Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
The company retains access until the end of the current billing period.
Reactivating a Subscription
To reactivate a cancelled subscription:
- Open the company.
- Go to the Subscription tab.
- Click Reactivate.
- Confirm the reactivation.
The subscription resumes, and the company regains full access.
Disabling and Archiving Companies
If you need to temporarily or permanently remove a client company:
- Disable — The company is suspended. The owner and team members cannot log in, but all data is preserved. You can re-enable it later.
- Archive — The company is hidden from your active list. Archived companies can be restored if needed.
To disable or archive:
- Open the company from your list.
- Click Disable or Archive.
- Confirm the action.
Disabling a company is useful when a client pauses their service. Archiving is better for clients you no longer work with but may return in the future.
