AI Features Overview

Knock Knock App includes built-in AI capabilities that help you engage with visitors around the clock — even when your team is offline. Your AI can chat with visitors, handle voice calls, and proactively reach out to high-intent visitors, all powered by the information you train it with.

AI for Visitors and AI for You

Knock Knock App's AI splits into two groups:

  • Visitor-facing agents — Chat Agent, Call Agent, and Auto-Connect Agent talk to visitors on your website.
  • In-app assistantNox talks to you inside the Knock Knock app, answering questions about your own analytics, leads, bookings, and CRM in plain language.

Three Visitor-Facing Agents

Knock Knock App provides three specialized AI agents, each designed for a different type of visitor interaction:

Chat Agent

The Chat Agent handles text-based conversations with your visitors through the widget. When a visitor opens the chat, the AI responds to their questions, provides information about your business, and guides them toward the right next step.

You can customize the Chat Agent's personality, tone, and behavior to match your brand. It can also hand off to a human team member when a conversation needs a personal touch.

Call Agent

The Call Agent handles voice conversations with your visitors. When a visitor starts an audio call through the widget, the AI answers with a natural-sounding voice, listens to the visitor's questions, and provides spoken responses.

You can configure the Call Agent's voice, personality, and call behavior to create a seamless experience.

Auto-Connect Agent

The Auto-Connect Agent proactively reaches out to visitors based on their behavior. Instead of waiting for a visitor to start a conversation, the Auto-Connect Agent initiates contact when certain conditions are met — like a visitor spending time on your pricing page or reaching a high lead score.

Nox — The In-App Assistant

Nox is the AI assistant for company owners and admins. Instead of clicking through dashboards to find out who visited today or which leads need attention, you ask Nox in plain language (by chat or voice) and get an answer.

Nox is separate from the visitor-facing agents above. It only ever talks to you, never to your visitors, and it has access to your dashboard data, CRM contacts, conversation history, and bookings.

Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base is where you feed your AI with information about your business. The more relevant content you provide, the better your AI agents can answer visitor questions.

You can add content from multiple sources — your website, documents, custom text, and question-answer pairs. Once you train your AI on this content, it uses that knowledge to respond accurately and helpfully.

A well-trained Knowledge Base is the single most important factor in how well your AI agents perform. Take the time to add comprehensive information about your products, services, policies, and frequently asked questions.

AI Credits

Every AI interaction — chat messages, voice call minutes, Nox conversations — draws from a single unified pool of AI credits. Your subscription plan includes a set number of credits each billing cycle, and you can purchase more if you need them.

Voice usage is tracked separately by where the call happens: Voice Inbound (incoming phone calls), Voice Outbound (outgoing calls placed by the agent), and Voice Web (browser-based voice on your website). Each gets its own credit-burn card on the AI Credits page so you can see which voice modality is consuming the most.

Getting Started with AI

To configure your AI agents and Knowledge Base:

  1. Go to Settings > AI Agents to set up and customize your Chat Agent, Call Agent, and Auto-Connect Agent
  2. Go to Settings > Knowledge Base to add content and train your AI
  3. Go to Packages > AI Credits to monitor your credit usage

AI features are available on plans that include AI capabilities. Check your current plan under Settings > Billing to see what is included.

Visual Flow Builder

In addition to the three AI agents, Knock Knock App includes a visual Chatbot Flow Builder that lets you design conversation flows with a drag-and-drop interface. This is ideal for structured conversations like lead qualification, FAQ routing, and appointment booking.
