Use this checklist to make sure you have covered all the essentials. Each step builds on the one before it, so work through them in order for the smoothest setup experience.
Your Setup Checklist
1. Create Your Account
Sign up with your email address and verify it with the one-time code sent to your inbox.
2. Complete the Onboarding Wizard
Walk through the 7-step wizard to set up your workspace, train your AI agent, and configure your company details.

3. Install the Widget on Your Website
Copy the embed code from your dashboard and paste it into your website. We have guides for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, and more.
4. Customize Widget Appearance
Make the widget match your brand. You can change colors, choose a style, adjust the position, and update the welcome message so it feels like a natural part of your site.
Spend a few minutes getting the colors and greeting right. A widget that matches your brand builds trust with visitors from the first interaction.
5. Set Your Working Hours
Define when your team is available to respond. Outside of working hours, your AI agent handles conversations automatically so visitors are never left waiting.
6. Train AI with Your Knowledge Base
Your AI agent was trained on your website during onboarding, but you can improve its answers by adding more content. Upload documents, add frequently asked questions, or provide specific responses you want the AI to use.
The more information you give your AI agent, the better it handles visitor questions. Check back regularly to add new content as your business evolves.
7. Invite Team Members
Bring your team on board so they can handle conversations, manage leads, and collaborate. You control what each person can access by assigning permissions.
8. Connect Integrations
Link Knock Knock App with the tools you already use. Popular integrations include Slack (for real-time notifications), HubSpot (for syncing leads), and more.
Additional integrations are being added regularly. Check the integrations page in your dashboard to see what is currently available.
