Google Calendar Integration

The Google Calendar integration syncs your calendar with Knock Knock App so your availability is always up to date. Visitors and team members can see when you are free and schedule meetings without back-and-forth emails.

Connecting Google Calendar

To connect your Google Calendar:

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find Google Calendar and click Connect.
  3. Sign in to your Google account when prompted.
  4. Grant Knock Knock App permission to access your calendar.
  5. You will be redirected back with the connection confirmed.
note

You will be asked to grant calendar read and write access. This allows Knock Knock App to check your availability and create events on your behalf.

Availability Sync

Once connected, your Google Calendar events are used to determine your availability in real time:

  • When you have an event on your calendar, you will appear as busy in Knock Knock App.
  • When your calendar is free, you will appear as available.
  • All-day events, meetings, and focus time blocks are all taken into account.

This works alongside your working hours to give visitors and team members an accurate picture of when you can be reached.

tip

Keep your Google Calendar up to date for the most accurate availability. If you block time for lunch or personal tasks, those blocks will correctly show you as busy.

Meeting Scheduling

With Google Calendar connected, meetings scheduled through Knock Knock App are automatically added to your calendar:

  • A calendar event is created with all the relevant details.
  • Both you and the visitor receive confirmation.
  • Any changes or cancellations are reflected in your calendar.

Disconnecting Google Calendar

To disconnect:

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find Google Calendar and click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.

Your calendar events will no longer sync with Knock Knock App. Existing events that were already created will remain on your calendar.
