Slack Integration

The Slack integration sends real-time notifications to your Slack workspace so your team stays informed about new leads, chats, calls, and other important events without leaving Slack.

Connecting Slack​

To connect your Slack workspace:

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find Slack and click Connect.
  3. You will be redirected to Slack to authorize the connection.
  4. Choose the Slack workspace you want to connect.
  5. Click Allow to grant permission.
  6. You will be redirected back to Knock Knock App with the connection confirmed.

Make sure you have permission to install apps in your Slack workspace. If you do not, ask your Slack workspace admin to approve the connection.

Choosing Notification Channels​

After connecting, you can choose which Slack channel receives notifications.

  1. Go to the Slack integration settings.
  2. Select a channel from the dropdown list.
  3. Click Save to apply.

You can send all notifications to a single channel or set up different channels for different event types.

The Slack channels shown in the dropdown are pulled from your connected workspace. If you do not see a channel, make sure it exists in Slack and that the Knock Knock App bot has been invited to it.

Team Alerts​

The Slack integration can notify your team about:

  • New chats -- When a visitor starts a conversation on your website.
  • Incoming calls -- When a visitor initiates a call.
  • New leads -- When a lead is captured.
  • Hot leads -- When a high-priority lead is identified.

Each alert includes relevant details so your team can respond quickly.

Slack alerts work alongside your in-app notification settings. You can use both to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Disconnecting Slack​

To disconnect the Slack integration:

  1. Go to Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Find Slack and click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.

Your Slack workspace will no longer receive notifications from Knock Knock App. You can reconnect at any time.
