Leads Overview

The Leads section is where you find every potential customer that Knock Knock has identified on your website. Leads are captured automatically -- you do not need to manually enter contact information or tag visitors. The system does it for you as visitors interact with your site.

Three Lead Sources

Knock Knock captures leads from three distinct sources, each represented by its own tab:

1. AI Chat Leads

When a visitor has a chat conversation with your AI chatbot and shares their contact information (name, email, or phone number), they are automatically saved as an AI Chat Lead. The AI is trained to naturally ask for this information during the conversation, so leads are captured without feeling forced.

2. AI Call Leads

When a visitor makes a voice or video call that is handled by your AI agent and shares their contact details during the call, they become an AI Call Lead. The AI voice agent collects this information as part of the conversation flow.

3. Lead Points

Not every lead comes from a direct conversation. Some visitors show strong interest through their behaviour -- visiting key pages, returning to your site multiple times, or spending time on high-intent content. These visitors earn points based on their actions, and once they cross a threshold, they are flagged as leads worth paying attention to.

Check all three lead sources regularly. AI Chat Leads and AI Call Leads give you visitors who have already shared their contact information. Lead Points help you identify high-intent visitors who might not have reached out yet -- these are great candidates for proactive outreach.

How Leads Are Automatically Captured

You do not need to set up forms or landing pages to capture leads. Here is how it works:

  1. A visitor arrives on your website.
  2. They interact with your chat widget or accept a call.
  3. During the conversation, the AI naturally asks for their name, email, or phone number.
  4. As soon as the visitor shares this information, a lead is created automatically.
  5. The lead appears in the appropriate tab (AI Chat Leads or AI Call Leads) with all the details attached.

For visitors who do not start a conversation, the Lead Points system watches their behaviour and assigns a score. High-scoring visitors appear in the Lead Points tab so you know who is worth reaching out to.

Date Filtering

At the top of the Leads section, you can filter leads by time period:

  • Last 24 hours -- See only leads captured today.
  • Last 7 days -- See leads from the past week.
  • Custom date range -- Pick any start and end date to view leads from a specific period.

This makes it easy to focus on fresh leads that need immediate attention or to review leads from a particular campaign period.

What to Do with Your Leads

Once you have leads, here are the most common next steps:

  • Follow up quickly -- Reach out to new leads while their interest is fresh. Use Live Sessions to see if they are still on your site.
  • Review the conversation -- For AI Chat Leads, read the chat transcript. For AI Call Leads, listen to the call recording or read the transcript.
  • Check their lead score -- Use Lead Scoring to prioritize which leads to focus on first.
  • Watch their session -- View the session recording to understand what the visitor was interested in.

Leads go cold quickly. Research shows that responding within minutes dramatically increases your chances of converting a lead. Make sure someone on your team (or your AI) is always available to follow up.
