Widget Types

Knock Knock App offers six different widget styles that control how the chat widget appears to your website visitors. Each style is designed for a different use case, screen size, or level of engagement. You choose the style that best fits your website — your visitors see it automatically.

Ultimate Widget

The Ultimate widget is the largest and most feature-rich option. When a visitor sees it, they get a full expanded card that makes a strong first impression.

What your visitors see:

  • Large card that appears in the corner of the page
  • Video preview of your team or a welcome video
  • Team photos showing who is available to help
  • Live badge indicating your team is currently online
  • Three action buttons — Video, Audio, and Chat — so the visitor can choose how to connect

The Ultimate widget works well on desktop websites where you want to encourage proactive engagement. It is highly visible and gives visitors all their options at a glance.

Smart Widget

The Smart widget is a medium-sized compact card. It provides the same functionality as the Ultimate widget but takes up less screen space.

What your visitors see:

  • Medium card that sits neatly in the corner
  • Video, Audio, and Chat buttons for choosing how to connect
  • Live badge when your team is online
  • Company branding with your logo and colors

The Smart widget strikes a good balance between visibility and unobtrusiveness. It is a popular choice for businesses that want to offer multiple engagement options without dominating the page.

Mini Widget

The Mini widget is a small icon or avatar bubble. It is the most discreet option that still gives visitors access to all features.

What your visitors see:

  • Small circular icon or team avatar in the corner of the page
  • Expands on click to reveal chat, audio, and video options
  • Minimal footprint that does not interfere with page content

The Mini widget is a great choice when you want the widget available but do not want it to compete with your page layout. Visitors who need help will find it; those who do not will barely notice it.

Bubble Widget

The Bubble widget is a floating circular button with a customizable label.

What your visitors see:

  • Circular floating bubble anchored to the corner of the screen
  • Label text next to or below the bubble (for example, "Chat with us" or "Need help?")
  • Expands on click to open the full chat panel
  • Stays visible as the visitor scrolls the page

The Bubble widget is one of the most commonly used styles across websites. It is familiar to visitors, easy to find, and does not take up much space.

The label text on the Bubble widget is customizable from your dashboard. You can change it to match your tone — casual, professional, or anything in between.

Bar Widget

The Bar widget displays as a horizontal chat bar fixed to the bottom of the screen.

What your visitors see:

  • Thin horizontal bar spanning the bottom of the page
  • Company name and a short message inviting the visitor to chat
  • Expands upward into a full chat panel when clicked
  • Mobile-friendly design that works well on smaller screens

The Bar widget is particularly popular on mobile websites where a bottom bar feels natural and easy to tap. It provides a persistent but unobtrusive invitation to start a conversation.

AI Voice Widget

The AI Voice widget is a completely different experience from the other styles. Instead of a card or bubble, it presents a full-screen immersive voice interface.

What your visitors see:

  • Full-screen overlay when activated
  • Animated waveform visualization that responds to speech
  • AI agent avatar with animated visual effects
  • Real-time conversation — the visitor speaks naturally and the AI responds with voice

The AI Voice widget is designed for businesses that want to offer a hands-free, conversational experience. It works well for product demos, customer support, and any scenario where talking is easier than typing.
